Rylee's Purplelicious 3rd Birthday Party..

This party was carefully planned by my AMAZING, TALENTED mom, she made almost everything for this party. She said she took about 2 months getting it all together, and boy did she ever. We live 4 hours away, and my mom wanted to keep everything a surprise from me, so the only thing I knew about it was it would be in PURPLE, at Rylee's request, of course. So the night before I was able to finally take a peek in to my mom's craft room, and lets just say I was completely speechless, not shocked though...because I KNOW how talented she is. I told her, " I want a party like this", I couldn't wait to see it all put together the next day. And see Rylee's face, was priceless...I will never forget it. :) So here are are plenty of pictures from the GLORIOUS PURPLELICIOUS birthday party. I think my mom said, she is taking a break...and will give Rylee another one for her 6th birthday...hahahahaha. A BIG thank you to my mom, and sister that put it all together...we are truly blessed.

Christmas Morning...2011

This was our 1st year since having Rylee, that we spent Christmas morning at our house. It was so much fun to see Rylee's little face coming up the stairs, just a smiling. And it took daddy 4 hours to put the dollhouse together..lol!! I decided to put the vanity together, I figured it would be easier...haha!! Anyway, it was a wonderful Christmas. She is very blessed, 3 birthday parties, and 3 Christmases...!! Now, I have to make room for all her new toys...!! :) And next year we will have 2 sweet-pies to spoil. :)

I just want to share a few things about my little girl.

She is a girlie girl, but still loves to ride her tractor.
She knows her ABC song and sounds so cute singing it.
She can count to 20 (when she wants to...lol)
She is finally, (for the most part) is potty trained...!! We haven't attempted a "public" restroom yet.
Loves to play dress up, dolls, and make up.
REALLY hates to have her photo taken...lol!! I guess this could be my fault...hahaha!!
A good eater, not really picky at all.
Favorites foods: strawberries, bacon, eggs,salmon.
Loves owls, bird & horses.
Has about 10 play cell phones...this can't be a good thing..lol!
She LOVES the outdoors.
She looks just like her daddy, but has MY eyes!! (the shape not color)
We are TRYING to learn her colors, she can't seem to remember the color "blue".
Purple is her favorite color.
Obsessed with freezer pops.
Sleeps in her own room and bed, such a BIG girl!!
Can say absolutely anything, speaks VERY well, and in complete sentences.
Likes to steal my Dr. Pepper when I am drinking it.
Calls McDonald's, The BIG M. ( I said it once and it stuck)
She is AMAZING!!

We had a good Sunday . Rylee is 2 1/2 and we have been trying to potty train FOR...EVER, well..I gave up for a few days...and yesterday...BAM...she just started going by herself in the BIG potty!! Then, she started riding her Gator, she has been very afraid...and she just took off in it. And one more thing, she took her 1st shower with me last night....!! My little baby is growing up !! I "rarely" take inside shots.. but, I decided to grab my camera the last few days and just snap away...!! I just redid Rylee's room, took down her baby bed..bought a shelf from Ikea and new owl bedding!! (I will post pics of her room later) Oh, and I totally reclaimed my living room...for this is the first time EVER her toys have all been in her room and she can play there. :) So here are some pics... (my next post will be kind of the same).

So here is my sweet little girl...having a blast playing in her room. :)

P.S. - Like I stated in the previous post, the pics on this blog are NOT about perfection..or trying to be fabulous with my exposure, etc...just me being a mommy :) These are actually "noisy", I didn't have my flash attached and had it on the highest ISO...!! It is sad to say, that I have been neglecting this blog. I started this blog to share the joys of my sweet little girl, and just to share things for my family & friends to see. Well, a few months have gone by and I need to get back on track. Lately, my focus has been on my photography, facebook, or just other stuff...! Well, as of 2 days ago...I have made a decision that those things will be on the back burner for a while....!! Rylee is growing up way to fast...she will be 3 in December and I don't want to miss another sweet moment. So, this blog, from this point on will be filled with updates, pics of Rylee ( I won't be spending a lot of time on editing, or trying to achieve the BEST photo, but just fun shots of my little girl growing up)....so I hope you enjoy..!! I don't really know why I don't post more on this blog. It was my first one I started almost 2 yrs ago and looking back, that was such an exciting time. I hope to print this blog into a book for Rylee, for when she is older. I know that would be neat for her to read all my thoughts I had during my pregnancy. I think I will put her second birthday on here and then change it up a bit.

Anyway, she is AWESOME. She's saying many words, trying to dress herself, put her shoes on, taking her diaper off and we started doing "pull-ups" yesterday. So we are beginning stages of potty training at our house. Eating EVERYTHING, no more nursing and sleeping in her own bed...SUCH A BIG GIRL! I am happy she's doing things now, but sad too..I guess that is apart of it. I do however, think I am getting 'baby fever" and thinking I might be ready for #2. Oh and I think she weighs about 26 lbs and I feel it when I have to carry her. Also, yesterday was only the SECOND time ever for her to fall alseep on her own. She fell asleep in the chair watching T.V. The last time was when she was 3 months old. I was a very happy mommy yesterday. No fighting, rocking or crying...just moving her from the chair to the couch and watching her sleep!

Just a quick update:

What's that expression "growing like a weed"! What I want to know is
there a way to slow it down?? :0)

She had a great check up, she gained weight which was the main thing!

Height- 31 1/2 (75%)
Weight- 22.6 lbs (45%)
Head Cir - 18 1/2 (75%)

I think she's going to be a "runner"...yes, she no longer walking-
she's running...lol! She makes the funniest faces, adores
purses,clothes & shoes! Outside is her favorite place to be! She
eats everything, a big fan of green beans! Already knows how to take
her pants & diaper off ( thank goodness it was dry, when she did :0).
She can say horse ( & other words- this ones just the cutest) & thinks
all animals sound like a cow! Keeping me "busy" is an understatement,
NEVER stops or slows down! I love it & wouldn't change a thing!

Next, it's the potty chair, weaning and sleeping in her own bed! Pray
for us both! :0)

1st Birthday Party @ Nanna's

Well, this party was postponed the 1st time...but we manage to have it *smiles*! However, mommy was not feeling well @ all...so I have to thank Keith, Nanna and Auntie K. for decorating. I decided to go with the "Lady Bug" theme..because I LOVE it...and its so cute! Nanna made the cupcakes..(thank you) and the toppers were pop up toys..I bought and they are just to cute! The lady bug dress I ordered did not arrive on time (still not here) but Auntie K. bought her the cutest little onesie...that had a cupcake with a 1 and a R on it...with a little pink tutu on the back of it....just adorable. I can't wait to see the pics that Auntie K. and Nanna took...my camera died and I just wasn't feeling to good with the camera ! But, I still managed to get a few so check them out..

Our Christmas followed...and we were ALL so blessed -thanks for everything! I didn't get any pics of Christmas..but I think Auntie K. did! :0)

1st B-day/Christmas at Maw-Maw's

We had such a great time at my mom's. We had a cute little "Christmas" themed party for her outside and it turned out great. And our family Christmas followed right after...she loves wrapping paper. My mom and sister made a GORGEOUS birthday banner, mom made adorable paper dolls with Rylee's name on it and the cupcakes....(thank y'all) & did a lot more! My sweet husband put up the tent so we could have it outside (lots of trouble- thank you) and everyone pitched in to decorate..even Shawn my brother-in-law :0)! It was a GREAT little 1st birthday party!!

Smithville Pumpkin Patch

On our way to Keith's parents house...we decided to stop in the small little town of "Smithville". I have always wanted to stop in this town because it's where one of my favorite movies "Hope Floats" was filmed. This is a picture of the house that was in the movie....so COOL!

Just a little ways down from the house......was a little "Pumpkin Patch", so we decided to snap a few (lol) pictures. The patch was obviously in poor shape, for we were just a few weeks late...hehe! But, we managed to find a few good ones to place her by and well...here they are - VERY ADORABLE pumpkin pictures.

Rylee is AMAZING...! She can now say about 8 words or so..and is ALMOST walking, she balances on the bed, holding on to nothing..! Her personality is so sweet and delightful- MY JOY! When she crinkles up that little nose when she smiles...it just melts my heart and nothing else matters. I am BEYOND blessed to have the privilege of being her mommy- THANK YOU GOD!!

The words she can say are:
1. Momma (of course- since 6 months)
2. Dada (she said hi dada together one morning..SO sweet)
3. bye-bye ( and waves)
4. hi
5. night-night
6. ma-ma (maw-maw)
7. nanna
8. up (all the time)

And I believe that she is VERY photogenic...and that's great for me (wanna-be-photographer)! I can't believe how tall she is getting and HEAVY (21lbs) , I have to say that my back is ready for her to start walking...hehe!

Photography, to me has always been a passion. In high school my dream was to be a photographer for National Geographic- (that's shooting for something BIG huh?) It's funny how I thought that no one remembered that...but recently a few people have and reminded me! In the recent years, I lost that passion due to work, no good camera or just no time....but, now I get lost in the moment when I'm holding the camera and feel alive! I was recently given some great equipment that of course has helped me get back into it- it kinda of just fell in my lap -(hmmm....maybe a sign??) I hope to continue to improve everyday, maybe taking a online course or two, I'm reading some photography books, and trying to learn photo shop for editing if need be....lol!! Who knows what my future holds......need a picture taken anyone- *smiles*?!

Anyway, I really do hope you enjoy all of the shots I take. I am trying to create new blog/web page for my photography...and will post when I get it up!

Well...its about time it's a little cooler outside. Rylee and I stay inside most of the day due to the heat...but the last few days - oh we just love sittin out on the swing!!

9 Month Check-up

Rylee had her 9 month check up and here are all the details:

Length -29 1/4 (95%)
Weight- 20lbs 10 oz (85%)
Head Circ- 17 3/4 (75%)

We got a great report. The only thing is she has low iron..so he prescribed her a daily supplement. We are giving her baby foods with meat now and other things...so we hope that it will increase.

She is totally crawling now and ALL over the place & walking around the furniture, and letting go with both hands but, falls :0(! I predict that she will be walking by next month.

I have NO idea where the time has gone...my baby is already standing up ( holding on to something), crawling..has almost 2 teeth on the bottom & I noticed today that 1 on the top will be coming in shortly. I wish I could freeze time. She is an absolute joy to be with..she has the best personality!! We are IN LOVE!!

I am so sorry that I am WAY behind on this blog. I think about it everyday, but can't seem to find the time (RYLEE :o) to sit down at the computer and get things posted. I have more to post, but I decided that I am not overwhelming myself,so I am just starting with the new pics...her 8 month photos!

A quick little update:

Rylee has her 1st tooth...it's not completely in but you can see it in these pics. She is almost crawling..she scoots all over the place..just can't get on her knees quite yet..but she is sure trying. She says "mama" all day long...we are working on "dada" but it's not working yet. Please enjoy these sweet pictures.

Some friends of ours came up to spend the weekend...we have not seen them in FOREVER! They have the cutest little boy- BRADY, who's 2 years old. He hit it off with Rylee right away...he wanted to take her home with them him today..so sweet!!

*Just a little blog about me*

Finally, I have a craft space. For a long time now I have had a desire to learn to sew and make things, which is why I FINALLY bought a sewing machine..SO HAPPY (now I just need to learn how to use it). I have discovered that I LOVE hand stitching and I'm pretty good at it. My BIG GOAL & DREAM is to one day have a little shop...which I already have a name picked out...( & very soon will get my DBA for it)...but until I make the $$$ for the building I need..I will settle for a online store....probably ETSY! I have been creating things and will keep " my items" a surprise until I get them all done. A HUGE THANK YOU to my sister-in-law for giving me the tools to be able do my crafts...she provided me with the shelving unit...and all the scrapbooking stuff! The BEAUTIFUL red cabinet I got from SANDIE, my mother-in-law. I have been truly blessed with a lot of great things. As you can see...I bought my dress form that I wanted... (in previous blog) I had to put cute clothes on it :o). GOD IS SO GOOD TO ME..."he gives us the desires of our heart"...even small ones... " like a good camera"!!

Also, I have a interest in PHOTOGRAPHY...(well for years I have) but recently I was given a AWESOME camera, backdrops, photography books, etc and hopefully will get good @ it...I plan on getting some great shots of Rylee to share with everyone!!

Staying @ home has been a HUGE change for me BUT I love it, hidden talents have emerged and I have a "million" ideas in my head everyday...and its really starting to keep me from sleeping!! I can't wait for my mom to help me with the sewing part, and jewelry is also something I plan on dabbling in to!!

Now let's see where I am going to get " all of this time" to do this with, an ACTIVE little (almost) 7 month old.

Today....was the best day! Rylee said MAMA...." those famous words" that melt your heart!! She was laying in her play pin and just said it....in a soft sweet little voice. I recorded her later...check it out!!

She is growing up way to fast. We had her 6 month check up today and she is doing fantastic....which we knew already! :)

Weight:18lbs 11oz (90%)
Length:26 3/4 (80%)
Head Cir:17 1/8 (75%)

We can now start 2ND foods...which is exciting. She is sitting up really good, rolling over on her stomach,trying to crawl & talk (she is already singing...like her momma).....she's just the cutest thing!!! I hated that she had to get shots today..she cried so hard..poor baby!!

Sorry...I am a little behind on my blog, I have been with out a camera for a while...but this week I should get it back!!

I had the best birthday!! My mom, sister & Logan came up for 2 days, which in itself was a GREAT birthday present. My mom made me the BEST cupcakes. all homemade including the butter cream icing...OMG delicious!! I usually ask for strawberry cake every year..since I was old enough to talk..but this year I had nothing but cupcakes on the brain. OK.....enough about the food, well lunch at Carino's was scrumptious!
After lunch we did a little shopping (well window shopping) at one of my favorite little shops called " Decor & More"...which I love. I soooo wanted this dress form which was so cute.......but I need to get my craft space together first (& get some $$)..which I am working on this weekend!! I am hoping..I can go back & get it!

Next,came the beautiful presents...thanks everyone that took the time..to think about what I would like & get it for me. My mother-in-law Sandie calls me every year and sings (with her beautiful voice) happy birthday..I love that, always makes me smile. I have a lot of pics to post. My hubby had to work (thanks honey...for working so hard for me & Rylee) so that's why he's not in the pics...! Please enjoy...the ones of Rylee are GORGEOUS!!

Mother's Day

My 1st Mother's Day...WOW! I have been looking forward to this day for a LONG time. Waiting to have a baby @ 33 years old..might not be a long time for some people...but for me it was! I remember calling my sister last Mother's Day (or the year before??) and just crying about not being a mommy yet! It was always hard for me to sit back and watch all my friends or family.... "share their news" and have a Mother's Day!! I wanted to join that club..., but most of all....I wanted to be able to hold, kiss, squeeze, sing to,rock this little person Keith and I created, a blessing that GOD has in trusted me with, she by far is more than I could have ever imagined. BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE...is what I like to say!

Keith, was so sweet...I went up stairs and when I came down he had 2 cards on the bed, 1 from him & 1 from Rylee. So sweet..the 1 from Rylee..he actually wrote"mommy" like a little kid..which was the sweetest thing...I CRIED!!

Rylee 5 Months..

It's hard to believe it's already been 5 months and we are on our way to 6! She is now eating cereal..about to start her on veggies & fruits this week. She just started rolling all the way over on her stomach and is trying very hard to sit-up on her own. Oh...and the fun part...TEETHING!! :O)

We are truly blessed...she is a great baby. She never cries..only fussy when she's hungry, wet or wants to be picked up!! Everyone tells me she is the best baby they have ever been around...what a compliment!!

I am so happy with these pics..and what we had to go through to get them. They were taken @ my mom's in a field with nothing but sun...so I had to hold a blanket up to try to block...Shelly was snapping the pics & the basket handle was constantly in the way...but she is not able to sit up alone yet (boy, is she trying though) and the basket was the only thing we could find to put her in....!! She just looks so beautiful!! Oh and me...I was NOT dressed for the pictures...but just had to get in a few!!

My granny is so special to me. She is 90 years old and for years I would stop her house on my way back home and spend time just chatting about having a baby and listening to her stories. I can't not believe it's been 3 months. Time is flying by way to fast...which makes me sad. This cute little outfit is one of my favorites...it was given to me @ my shower from " April Toddy" (thank you again)!! I knew that it would be a special day I put this one on her..it was, Regina ( my best friend from high, the blog below) came for a visit and her 3 month birthday was the day before...so BIRTHDAY PICS. I love them.

This was a very special day for me. Regina ( my best friend from high school) came for a visit to meet Rylee. It had been about 2 years (or more) since we have seen each other. I tried to take a picture of us....it would have been nice if I knew how to work the "self timer" on my camera...hehe!! I'll be prepared next time. It was a GREAT DAY!! She bought Rylee some sweet little gifts...see the pics.
